Life as a stay at home mom is great

I have been a mom since December 14, 2007 when I had our son David. We got married in March 2008, and shortly after found out I was expecting Alayna, and I had her on October 20, 2008. They’re exactly 10 months and 6 days apart in age. Some people say that’s too close in age, but I don’t think it is because I like the age difference, but wouldn’t have kids so close in age again probably.

They’re now 3 and 4 years old, so life is busy with them – playing, learning things such as ABCs, colors, numbers 1 – 10, and shapes (David knows those by himself), going for walks, baking things, etc. We enjoy our days together at home. I get them to even help me while I do laundry which is always a good time.

I have the best job in the world

And that’s being a mom to our kids; some people may say being a stay at home mom is boring, but I have no idea how that’s possible because there’s always something to do with kids; whether you go outside for a few hours to play, go for walks, go over the alphabet with them, color, playdoh, etc.

David, our oldest loves AWANA at our church, he’s in the Cubbies. He’s 4 years old. He has made a lot of friends thru church and Cubbies, it’s great. He also loves to go with me to my physical therapy appointments which he loves, because he goes to the childcare area while I’m in therapy for my knee. He plays with other kids there too, and they have a ball pit for the kids and a slide.

Alayna, our youngest loves to do everything her brother does. She’s not old enough to attend Cubbies until September, since she turned 3 after Sept. 30. She is full of energy just as much as he is and makes friends easily with people in the nursery on Wednesday nights, and in her classes on Sundays too!

Being a stay at home mom isn’t an easy job, but it’s a 100% worth every moment job that I’d never take back for anything in the world! They’re my life and the reason I am where I am today. They’re the best thing that’s happened to me and I love them with all my heart!
